Terms & Conditions
1. About these terms
StageWorks is operated by Eastern Idaho Performing Arts Alliance (EIPAA) (“StageWorks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Our SMS program is registered under StageWorks. These terms govern use of stage-works.org and related services. Any additional Organizer terms, event rules, or payment terms disclosed for a transaction also apply to that transaction.
By using StageWorks, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. Use of the website or acceptance of these terms alone does not constitute consent to receive SMS messages. SMS requires a separate opt-in as described below.
Our Privacy Policy explains our information practices.
2. Accounts and permitted use
Provide accurate information and use an account only if you are authorized to do so. You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and notifying us of suspected unauthorized use.
Do not use StageWorks to commit fraud, send unauthorized messages, interfere with security, access another person’s information without authorization, upload unlawful material, or violate another person’s rights. We may restrict misuse or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, Organizers, and the service, subject to applicable law.
3. Organizers and events
Organizers are responsible for the events, auditions, productions, and programs they offer, including their content, schedules, casting, admission requirements, accessibility arrangements, and event-specific policies. StageWorks provides technology supporting those activities. The applicable seller or recipient and relevant policies should be identified during the transaction.
Contact the relevant Organizer about event-specific questions. Contact StageWorks about platform or messaging issues. Neither an audition application nor a ticket purchase guarantees casting, employment, or access beyond the rights expressly described for that application or ticket.
4. Purchases, donations, and refunds
Prices, applicable taxes, and fees are disclosed before payment. By submitting payment, you authorize the displayed charge using the selected payment method. Keep your confirmation and review transaction details promptly.
Refunds, exchanges, cancellations, and postponements are governed by the policy disclosed for the transaction and applicable law. These terms do not make every sale nonrefundable or override mandatory consumer rights. Contact the Organizer or StageWorks support for assistance identifying the applicable refund process.
Donations are voluntary and are recorded separately from ticket purchases. Tax treatment depends on the recipient and the circumstances; StageWorks does not promise that every donation or sponsorship is tax-deductible.
5. Uploaded material
Submit material only if you have the necessary rights and permissions. You retain ownership of your material. You grant StageWorks and the relevant Organizer a limited permission to store, process, transmit, and review it as reasonably necessary to provide the service you requested. This permission does not authorize unrelated advertising or public publication of your audition material without separate permission.
Uploads may be removed under applicable retention rules or for safety, legal, or operational reasons. Keep your own copies of important material. Permission to process an upload does not constitute SMS consent.
6. Intellectual property
StageWorks branding, software, and platform content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except as expressly permitted, these terms do not grant ownership rights in the platform or permission to reuse another person’s protected materials. Organizer names, event artwork, and other third-party materials remain subject to their owners’ rights.
7. SMS Terms
Program and sender
The StageWorks Notifications program is operated by Eastern Idaho Performing Arts Alliance (EIPAA) under the registered brand StageWorks. Where a program relates to a particular Organizer, that Organizer is identified at enrollment and in the relevant messages. Only the sender and program identified in your enrollment are covered by your consent.
What you agree to receive
By providing your mobile number and affirmatively opting in, you agree to receive recurring informational text messages, including automated messages, for the notification program you selected. Depending on the enrollment disclosure, these may include ticket and order confirmations, event reminders and changes, audition appointments, participation or rehearsal notices, and account or support updates.
This notification consent does not authorize promotional offers, fundraising solicitations, or messages from unrelated organizations. Any promotional SMS program requires its own appropriate consent and terms.
| Notification program | What you receive | How to opt in |
|---|---|---|
| Participation notices | Rehearsal notices, callbacks, schedule changes, call times and cancellations for productions you are part of. | Check the box on an Organizer’s form, use the text notifications page, or text UPDATES followed by the Organizer’s code to [StageWorks number]. |
| Event notices | Performance reminders, schedule or venue changes and cancellations for events you hold tickets to. | Check the box when you buy tickets or a pass, or in the Text messages section of your account. |
Texts you ask for one at a time, such as “Send my tickets by text,” a ticket lookup by texting TICKETS, or a sign-in verification code, are sent in response to that request and do not enroll you in a notification program.
Voluntary consent
SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase, donation, audition application, participation, or use of otherwise available StageWorks services. Entering a phone number without opting in does not enroll you. An Organizer cannot enroll you merely by uploading your contact information.
You represent that you are the subscriber or customary authorized user of the number you provide and are authorized to consent to messages at that number. Tell us if you stop using that number or if it changes.
Frequency and charges
Message frequency varies based on your transactions, selected program, and participation. Multiple notices may be sent around an event, appointment, or schedule change. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile provider’s rates and charges apply; contact that provider with questions about your plan.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any StageWorks notification or ticket text to stop StageWorks notification and ticket texts to that number. Verification codes you request yourself when signing in are sent separately and are not affected. We may send one nonpromotional message confirming your opt-out. You may also contact support@stage-works.org to withdraw consent. We honor other clear withdrawal requests as required by applicable law.
An opt-out applies to the StageWorks messaging service and stops every notification program carried by it, including notifications from each Organizer you had opted in with. We will not bypass an opt-out by changing sending numbers. If you want to subscribe again, text START to allow StageWorks texts and then provide fresh consent through the available re-enrollment process (an Organizer’s form, the text notifications page, your account, or UPDATES with the Organizer’s code); your participation or purchase alone does not re-enroll you.
Help
Reply HELP for help or contact support@stage-works.org. Our website is https://stage-works.org. If you have already opted out and a carrier or messaging provider blocks automated HELP replies, contact us by email.
Delivery and emergency use
Text delivery is not guaranteed and may be delayed or unavailable. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The program is not an emergency service. Check your event or account information and any available alternative communications for important changes.
Privacy and changes
Our Privacy Policy applies to the messaging program. We do not sell or share SMS opt-in information or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Changes to these terms do not enlarge the scope of your SMS consent without an appropriate new opt-in.
8. Service availability and responsibility
We work to provide a useful, dependable service, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, the platform is provided on an “as available” basis. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Event-specific obligations remain governed by the applicable transaction and Organizer policies.
9. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms and will post the revised terms with an effective date. We will provide additional notice or obtain agreement where required by applicable law. Changes are not intended to retroactively alter a completed transaction’s disclosed refund policy or expand existing SMS consent.
