Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
StageWorks is operated by Eastern Idaho Performing Arts Alliance (EIPAA) (“StageWorks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Our text messaging program is registered under StageWorks. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information through stage-works.org and related ticketing, donation, sponsorship, audition, account, and notification services.
The theaters, event producers, and other organizations using StageWorks are referred to as “Organizers.” An Organizer may also have its own privacy policy for information it collects and uses outside StageWorks. Contact the relevant Organizer about its independent practices.
2. Information we collect
Depending on the services you use, we collect:
- Contact and account information: name, email address, telephone number, account credentials, and preferences.
- Transaction information: tickets, events, purchases, donations, sponsorships, amounts, billing details, payment status, refunds, and related records. Payment providers process payment credentials; we receive the transaction information needed to operate and support the service.
- Audition and participation information: applications, selected roles or instruments, appointment times, availability, and materials you choose to submit, such as photographs, recordings, resumes, and other application information.
- Communication and consent information: support requests, messages, mobile numbers, notification preferences, SMS consent records, and opt-in and opt-out history.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, access times, pages used, and security or error logs. We use cookies and similar technologies for functions such as sessions, preferences, and security; additional measurement technologies may be used where enabled and disclosed.
Information may come from you, your use of the service, the relevant Organizer, or service providers processing a transaction or communication. An Organizer’s submission of a phone number does not, by itself, constitute your SMS consent.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide and administer services; fulfill tickets, donations, sponsorships, and applications; manage accounts and appointments; communicate about your transactions or participation; respond to support requests; maintain consent and communication preferences; prevent fraud and abuse; troubleshoot and improve the platform; and comply with legal obligations.
SMS notifications are sent only within the scope of the permission you have provided. We do not treat a purchase, account registration, audition application, or provision of a phone number as permission for unrelated promotional text messages.
4. When information is disclosed
We disclose information as needed:
- To the relevant Organizer: to fulfill and administer the event, transaction, application, or participation you requested. Access should be limited to authorized personnel and the information needed for that purpose.
- To service providers: for payment processing, hosting, storage, message delivery, customer support, security, and other services performed for us. They may process information to provide those services, not to obtain an independent marketing audience from our SMS program.
- For legal and safety purposes: where required by law or reasonably necessary to respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, or investigate fraud or abuse.
We do not make SMS subscription lists available to other Organizers for their independent use. Opting into one Organizer’s notifications does not opt you into another’s.
5. Mobile information and SMS privacy
We do not sell or share our SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Mobile numbers, SMS opt-in records, and consent information are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional use. Consent is not transferred to another sender or unrelated messaging program.
Limited processing by messaging providers, telecommunications carriers, and other service providers is permitted only as necessary to deliver and administer the messages you requested, maintain security, honor preferences, or meet legal obligations. This does not authorize those providers to use your SMS information for their own marketing.
For a notification program you choose, messages may include ticket and order confirmations, event reminders or schedule changes, audition appointment updates, participation or rehearsal notices, and account or support notifications, as described at enrollment. Message frequency varies based on your activity and the program you select. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any StageWorks notification or ticket text to stop StageWorks notification and ticket texts to that number. Verification codes you request yourself when signing in are sent separately and are not affected. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact support@stage-works.org. You may also request an opt-out through that email address. We retain the information needed to honor your opt-out and document compliance. Declining or withdrawing SMS consent does not prevent you from purchasing tickets or using otherwise available services.
For more information, see the SMS Terms in our Terms & Conditions.
6. Cookies and preferences
Essential cookies support functions such as account sessions, security, and preferences. Browser settings may allow you to restrict or delete cookies, although some features may not work properly. Where optional analytics or other nonessential technologies are offered, applicable notices and controls describe those uses and choices. SMS preferences are separate from cookie choices.
7. Retention
We keep information for the period reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including transactions, service administration, legal requirements, dispute resolution, security, and consent or suppression records. Different types of records may have different retention periods.
Audition uploads are subject to the applicable upload-retention rules. An Organizer may separately retain materials it lawfully downloads or receives; contact that Organizer about those copies. We do not promise that opting out of SMS automatically deletes transaction records or the minimal records needed to prevent further messages.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure. Protect your account credentials and contact us if you believe your account or information has been compromised.
9. Your choices and requests
You may contact support@stage-works.org to request access, correction, or deletion of your information, ask questions about privacy, or change communication preferences. We may need to verify your identity. Requests are subject to applicable law and legitimate record-retention needs. You may also have additional rights under the laws that apply to you. For information controlled independently by an Organizer, contact that Organizer; we can help identify the appropriate contact.
10. Children and minors
The service is not intended for children under 13 to independently create accounts or submit personal information. A parent or legal guardian should handle transactions or applications for a child under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has independently submitted personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
For participants under 18, an Organizer may require parent or guardian permission. Adults consenting to texts should provide their own mobile number; permission to manage a child’s participation does not automatically authorize sending texts to a separate child’s number.
11. Changes
We may update this policy and will publish the revised policy with its effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent. Policy changes do not automatically expand a previously granted SMS permission.
